Default UPDATE! The Missing Card has been located and returned!

Ok well my wife found the culprit and all 5' 0" 120 lbs of her took matters into her own hands and boy is he sorry!! Yes I am on my way to Urgent Care with a Moused up Black eye!

This is very bad and embarrassing. If you would have put a gun to my head back in June of 2023 and asked me if I had this card in my hand at 1 point in Chantilly at the show, I would have said absolutely!

Well I was digging in my safe for a card I know I have and found in my keeper box. I have 2 card boxes in that safe, a keeper box and my 50+ year Type set in the other box.

In the keeper box, WALLA! There sits the missing SF Hess card with a price sticker still on back! How it got there???? Well nothing in that box has a price sticker on it so I have 2 possibilities of what happened.

1. I decided to keep it and add it to my type collection and placed it in the wrong box and forgot completely that I did that.

2. Do you watch Paranormal caught on camera? Items get removed and placed in other areas or just go completely missing altogether.

I am going with #2 as I don't want to face reality that I am slipping badly in my vintage years.........

Good to hear on possession of the card! Not good news on being in the emergency room from a small 5 ft. wife. 😭Now in your collection or selling, or uncertain. If that is all you forgot you are just normal like most of us. Happy for you.

I would have sworn stolen as I was 100% positive I had it in my hand at that show and it wasn't in my stock when I unpacked after the show but looks like I just misplaced it. It has been 2 years so I don't remember at all sadly.

Hey Dan, on the bright side there are weirdos out their who pay women to beat them so you've got that going for you if you're into that kind of thing...

There is a third possibility that needs to be considered:

heavybaggirl01.jpg

In general, how bloodthirsty is the missus?
Does she look for any excuse to knock you around?

If so, I posit that perhaps she pulled the ole switcheroo and grabbed the card and hid it in your safe, all the while knowing you would eventually find it.

Has she been smirking a lot lately as tensions were building?
Spending way too much time working the heavy bag?
Maybe repeatedly 'suggesting' that you check your safe?

I cry foul!!!

Default We have all done this...

Gotta admire your guts in telling the community about finding it instead of just pretending the "theft" was never announced.

Maybe you'll give everyone in N54 some big discounts on your stuff to compensate for all the time we lost watching out for the card. I'll be by your table Wednesday to claim mine

Timmy

Dan, do you remember that Bender White Cap Mello Mint I sent you a while back for safekeeping?

Can you check your type box and send it back to me?
