Wondering if anyone has pre-war playing days autographed cards (preferably in PSA slabs), that they would care to show, of the biggest and earliest 20th Century guys: Wagner, Cobb, Matty, etc. I don’t know of any 19th Century, do any exist?

Paul (t206collector on here) has assembled probably the definitive reference to early Pre-War signed cards at his website: http://www.signedt206.com
It’s loaded with scans of amazing signed Pre-War cards. As for 19th century signed cards, I know I’ve seen a back signed Connie Mack N172 and a Hugh Duffy N300. If he doesn’t have images of those two I can dig them up somewhere. Edit: Also I’ve been traveling for work a lot this month and if I didn’t get back to you I received the Deportivo Noble a while back and meant to thank you for the great card. Happy collecting Phil!

Most of the signed prewar cards that currently exist in the hobby were signed well after the player featured on the card retired. However, consider the following article, which was posted on Net54 some years ago:
![]() In addition, below is a link to a very brief article about a group of 1871-72 Warren CDVs, which were all signed during the players' playing days -- six of the players added date notations to their signatures, each within a span of three days from July 22nd 1872 to July 24th, 1872: https://www.signedt206.com/earliest-...baseball-cards .

Don’t think I saw any Wagner playing days auto cards with any of those links. Do they not exist? I know Shoeless Joe does not. How about Matty?
