Wow! What a weird trade. Devers just beat the Yankees (again….) earlier today, and the Red Sox were crawling back into the Division race, and have had the Yanks number lately.

Names they got back for him don’t look too impressive at this point. Guessing there’s some decent prospects in there that haven’t been named yet.

…..or…..the Red Sox know something else about him, we don’t, other than his general attitude.

Good! I guess. Get him out of the division.

The two prospects in the deal are James Tibbs and Jose Bello, neither of whom are top prospects.

Questions of attitude aside, I think the Giants are getting a very good deal. As to whether we can put questions of attitude aside - we'll see. Hopefully a change of environment will do him good.

It's obviously early in his career but Tibbs was the Giants 1st round pick last year and the #3 prospect in their organization prior to the trade. That's not nothing.

It was a salary dump for Henry. He's also selling shares in the NHL Penguins to raise enough to buy the Celtics.
I really wish he'd sell the Red Sox. He's more interested in making money than winning championships.
