A period issued American Negro League set is probably greatest “what if” in the history of sports cards. It’s a shame we never got a true one.
As for your suggestion, I’m fairly certain Upper Deck owns the rights to the Goudey Gum brand now. That being said, Helmar has released several cards of in vein of the 1930’s Goudey sets featuring Negro Leaguers. Although quite pricey, they are beautiful cards.
