There’s a card for everyone at every price point. To someone like me that doesn’t own a Ruth card yet, I’d be honored to have that (maybe not at $1800, but still).
I have a 1934 Ruth Quaker Oats pinback button that’s toned and cracked, but it’s real and something from Ruth’s playing days. It’s one of my favorite pinback buttons in my collection. |

I clicked it to see what you were talking about and just got an offer to buy it for only 1757.50. I didn't want to step on anybody's toes if somebody else wants it. Ebay says "People want this. 66 people are watching this." I hate to miss out.

The recently ended Collector Connection auction had this Goudey Ruth that ended up a little over half of the Ebay (yellow-ish background) example. If we had to be stuck with one of the two, I think most of us would choose the one below. And it might even be two different authentic Ruth cards stuck together...what a hoot!
