Default May Pickups

I’ve seen these schedule tokens for about every league both minor and major but this is the first from Kansas I’ve found. Happy to get it and has an oil and gas connection to it also.

I've never heard of schedule tokens before I saw Clint's post. Very cool.

Default 1950s Bob Feller Wallet, Pencil Case, Key Chain - Willard Mullin

Happy to add this 1950s Willard Mullin art wallet to my Bob Feller collection.
I already had the pencil case and key chain. I’m told there is also some form of tote but I have never seen one. The key chain is listed as a 1950 Old Nick / Bit-O-Honey issue.

I don’t know the full extent of other players available with wallets, pencil cases or totes, but the key chain checklist appears to be limited to six players - Bob Feller, Joe DiMaggio, Stan Musial, Johnny Mize, Jackie Robinson, and Ted Williams.

I've been looking for this one for a few years. Jackie Robinson 1952 Wheaties Tin Tray. It's been a dickens to find. But I now have a complete set of Robinson, Musial, Rizzuto and Kiner.

Tremendous pickup... Talk about an item where the supply pales in comparison to the demand! Great snag!

Thanks Jonathan, Hank and Mark. Sometimes eBay saved searches pay off.

I’ve never seen ANY of those! How big is it? Did they come in a cereal box or were they a (more likely) a mail in premium? I’m glad you found one of your grails. You can delete that search!

From KeyManCollectibles:

Quote:
In 1952, Wheaties provided a tin tray photo premium that came glued to the back of the cereal box. The 4-7/8" x 5-1/8 Tin Tray frames feature a 3" x 4" color photo of one of four future HOF players; Ralph Kiner, Stan Musial, Phil Rizzuto, and Jackie Robinson. Each photo came with the player's facsimile autograph in black. The top of the tin frame had a hole punched out for hanging. Most are found with glue and paper residue on the back.
It seems pretty crazy that these were glued to the back of the boxes. Like so many things, I fell into it by accident. In June 2021, I got the Musial and Rizzuto trays in a lot of general memorabilia that included a couple of B18 blankets, the tin trays and a Mike Caldwell bobble head. It was an unusual lot. I was interested because of the B18 blankets and for $19 I wasn't risking much. The tin trays were a bonus and when I did some research (meaning I did a google search), they were the coolest items in the lot. I was able to pick up the Kiner a few months later but I've been chasing Jackie for nearly 4 years. This is the full set. (forgive the reflection from the plastic envelopes)

It was very cathartic being able to delete that saved search.

I've gotten cardboard signs found under porches, behind framed pictures, and in walls for insulation. I add a sign today found "behind a door". Sounds weird saying behind a door but it was seriously nailed behind metal that closed off a door. I guess I'm a collector of signs found in weird places . It's not mint but hey it survived and I think I can clean it up a bit more.
