Posted question about the Paige signature in the autograph section. Person who's opinion I 100% trust says it is real ....but was signed later in life.. he passed in 1982. It would match a poster printed in the same time frame late 70's ...1982.

Op thanks for posting back...it tells the story... signed by Louis Gosset and Satchel Paige with the phrase Don't look back.... the poster is from the 1981 movie of the same name.... with both those signatures has some value...watch the movie if you see the poster in the movie it will help value.

Thanks for all the information. I was sure the poster was from the 30's. I'm glad to have verification of the signature. I'll watch the movie.

Pretty wild that Gossett won an Oscar a year after doing this TV movie. I’ve never seen it — will have to check it out!

So this is a prop used in the movie, signed by the actors and by Satchell, presumably on set not long before he died? That's really wild, and a great piece! I wish they had signed it on the front, since that's fantasy, anyway. Would have made a wonderful display piece. As it is, how unique!
