It’s the point, mister. Can't you see it's only an example? People prattle on and on about everything, even if the category is supposed to be Pre-War cards, and no one gets their panties twisted. Just felt compelled to single me out to make yourself look wonderful, did you?

eBay flat out does not care, and even when confronted with facts isn't going to do anything to stop it.

Eat s&$t and die, along with your BS Merkle.

And if you're going to insult and attack, have the balls to post your name.

Yet another gripe thread quickly turned into a death wish thread. Surprising, or something.

I rarely get that incensed unless somebody is trying to pry my Cracker Jack from between my sticky fingers.

They implemented the authenticity guarantee program. While not perfect, I would guess it prevented plenty of fake items from being listed. What's funny is people seem to complain about it just as much as they complain about reporting individual items that nothing is done about.

Dammit, we reserve the right to complain about all of it. Because pissing everyone off is easy, or at least eBay makes it look easy.

Agreed. Seems like eBay took a huge step to weed out fake cards, but then it gets ripped on for doing just that.

Agree. Ebay tries.

What I don't understand is how some people expect Ebay to be experts on all things, from obscure baseball cards and memorabilia, to 100 year old railroad memorabilia, etc., etc. The range and scope of things offered and sold on Ebay would require a staff of a few thousand specialized experts, if they tried to verify authenticity on every single thing.
