As a kid we played a tabletop game called Sports Illustrated All-Time All-Star Baseball. It was my introduction to vintage baseball that used color charts with named players (some blanks) and custom dice. We played hundreds and hundreds of games, so much fun.
One of the players I recall always doing well for me was Harry Hooper from the Boston Red Sox; he was a very good hitter, a fast runner, and a terrific outfielder. Well, when I saw a boardie had this card for sale I of course had to have it! (I don’t know why it’s “Ed” Hooper)
