Exactly (to Jeff's comment)! Do you mean the percent in volume or dollars? It could be a very different answer.

By number of cards: about 5% (not counting boxes of junk wax that are probably still in my parents' house somewhere).

By value of cards: around 20-25%

0%. Every graded card cracked out. Don't give one iota for slabs and someone else's opinion of my cards.

Also, if/when I croak, my wife and daughter know what to do...sell for whatever like card is worth, graded or otherwise. Someone wants to argue the point, then hang on to it, and tell them to have a nice day.

I'm in full agreement with you on the point that graded cards are worth the same as ungraded cards. That's why I refuse to pay any kind of a premium for graded cards though typically sellers ask for a premium. I just say "No!" and go for a more reasonably priced ungraded card.

But of course there other collectors who may not balk at paying a premium for a graded card. We're all free to choose.

Hopefully therefore your wife and daughter love your cards as much as you do because if they insist on asking for the premium price at which an "equivalent" graded card just sold, they'll be keeping your cards for the long haul. Quite simply I know of no collector (including me) who's willing to be upcharged for ungraded cards.

We just don't care. They're only cardboard. I don't care what some other compensated entity thinks of my cards. As stated, if someone doesn't see it that way, if they're only willing to pay if slabbed, oh well.

I'm with you there! My cards need to be up to my standards not somebody else's.

And of course since they're only cardboard, hopefully you and yours don't ask for a king's ransom when selling.

Not for me. 0=0 regardless.

Don't have any idea based on percentages, but if the poll was structured around what portion of NEW buys were housed in slabs, for me, that number would eclipse 80-90% these days.
