My collection is 100% graded or will be graded. I work on sets within the PSA set registry, so it need them all PSA graded

I have maybe 1% graded. That range of 1-25 is too large.

Agreed. I have about 100 graded cards out of probably 40K+ so well below 1%.

I have zero graded cards/items and do not intend to own any in the future. My cards are not that valuable anyway, but I do have some decent photos and other items that I have no plans to grade. If I decide to sell any in the future, I might have to grade some but I will not until I am ready to sell.

I picked the 1-25% option but in reality it is more like .0001%. I have maybe 15-20 graded cards at the most.

I have eight graded cards out of a collection of 40K or so, so approximately 0.02 percent.

If most of you (so far) selected 1-25 percent, then you must have cheap cards !!

I have binders full of "cheap" cards that I choose not to grade because TPG'ing is a scam...and a waste of money in many cases...and is no better than I at grading.

A decade ago I started a thread here focused on slabs that were graded, but were worth less than the cost of grading. An amazing number of junk wax era cards were slabbed. Grading didn't cost that much, but the overwhelming majority of those slabs were worth the cost of grading and are worth less today. Thank you PSA for creating your registry.
![]() ![]() The era of junk slabs has been largely resolved though in part by PSA. They have simply raised their prices. ![]() Aren't virtual monopolies wonderful? ![]()

Very true. Here's one of my cheap, raw cards. I'm not interested in spending $2000 to get it graded right now.

Even if you have no intention to sell, it is worth the dough in case someone inherits it at some point in time that has no idea of the value of the raw version. Just one opinion of course but I would grade it in a minute at $2K. |

I am entertained by the fact that the value of a card is factored into the cost of an opinion on the card.

Me three. Although its probably closer to 99% of the value is graded for me, even if I have way more ungraded cards in total.
Hard to find extremely valuable raw cards, and I always find it a little risky when I do see them. In the back of my mind, I always wonder why they haven't been graded--what is wrong with them that I am not seeing.... |

Bingo. Not sure whether the standard here is just based on sheer numbers, or value. A gigantic mountain of raw junk wax goes a long way to tipping the scales without really being meaningful.
