There are also the obvious great names we overlook because we've been exposed to them so often.
Both Lew Alcinder and Kareem Abdul Jabbar are great names for a dominant, yet graceful center. Wilt Chamberlain is about the best name you can have for a player of his skill set. ![]()

When I was a kid playing Strat-O-Matic basketball, I always loved the name Granville Waiters. That was a good thing, because there wasn't much else to love about Granville's Strat-O-Matic card.
