Living in an area of Orange County that is considered a "high fire risk" area as well, we are all too familiar with the evacuation orders (both voluntary and mandatory). Even having some "time" to do so, it still is a horrible task to have to decide what you can realistically take and what you have to leave behind. No one can be prepared for the type of event Los Angeles residents are now facing.
It does come down to family, pets and the few items of importance that are readily available. My heart goes out to your friend and to all those in similar circumstances. I'm glad they are safe and pray for all those faced with this tragic event. Thank you for sharing their story. |
