I had a few of these cards and decided to put together the Yankees.
In this thread there is a discussion about the high and low numbers being two separate issues. The argument for why it is considered a single issue is the sequential numbering 1-80 for the lows and 81-192 for the highs, and that no players are in both series. Lefty Gomez and Bill Dickey appear in both series. This is a great series and hope others will share their knowledge like how these were distributed and show a wrapper or box or advertizement if any exist. I also hope someone picks up the project of laying out the sheets! |
