The connection is that the postcard mentions the game that would later be attended that night.
First night game at Brooklyn, Vandy's 2nd consecutive no-hitter.
Little did they know what was coming...

The postcard was mailed before it all happened. The date on the postcard is June 15, 1938.
The snapshot in the framed piece is Vandy's celebration after the game.
I also have 3-4 more snapshots that include an image of the Drum and Bugle Corp that was part of the pre-game celebration and one of the Babe walking across the field after the game.
