Default 1965 topps black line mark on 2 cards

Ok cruising eBay and noticed one card that caught my eye and than my curiosity kicked in and I found another, were they related? 2nd and 3rd series cards……what do the card detectives think?

I'm thinking a scanner issue but I could certainly be wrong.

With Greg Morris, it seems the cards are actually on his standard blue backdrop (whether it's a feed scanner or a regular scanner) and the card images aren't cut and pasted onto it later, so it is quite odd that those lines don't continue into the blue and are only 'on' the cards themselves (I opened the Spahn in Photoshop and messed with the settings to confirm the line isn't somehow hidden in the blue).

I’ve spent a lot of time with this set and have never seen lines like that. Suggests to me it’s not on the card but a scanning issue. But can’t be sure! I’d be curious to know what the seller said, if he/she was asked.
