Default Philly show pickups this weekend

I never started one of these threads but I'm very excited to post my first Mello Mint for my PC!

Did anyone else pick up anything cool this weekend in Philly or any other shows? I like bidding in auctions but being at the shows is so much more fun.

Happy Holidays!

Fantastic card, Leighton. I enjoy JC's stuff on YouTube...

About 20 years ago, I had a nice raw Dockman version of the same card. Not knowing much about E cards or even prewar in general at the time, I somehow convinced myself that it had been trimmed and sold it.

About 6 months later, I saw that exact same copy in a PSA 5 holder on eBay.

Whoops...

That used to be mine! I sold it when I broke up my back run. Enjoy, that is a crazy tough combo.

This new (and now former) member did not buy that E105 Cobb at the Philly Show nor anywhere else. It is still in Strongsville, but after today’s events (see Sports Collector’s Daily) it should be heading to ML and then to me, finally.

PSA revoked the certs of all of the cards in the Strongsville heist after they were reported stolen.

So Mosesbayda just made up that he got that card at the Philly show? Who does that? And why?

I am guessing he was another scammer. It looks like he joined an hour before he made that single lone post.

Thanks, Leon! I’ll be glad when it finally arrives. It’s still amazing that most of these cards were recovered, considering what happened with the other large heist of 2024.

Yea, but what’s the purpose of the scam? To make a bunch of random people think you own a card you don’t? Pretty dumb scam I think!

And agree, congrats! Great card. From me, to the Strongsville police, to you!

Eventually he'd sell the imaginary card? With some N54 history of having shown it off.
