It will be interesting to see if the non licensed Topps holds up. Not to mention they are releasing a Topps Cosmic w the RC logo.

I think the Prizm is the safe bet because of the Spurs logo

Just announced that Victor Wembanyama has deep vein thrombosis, which is a potentially life threatening condition, and will not play for the rest of the NBA season. He will have to take blood thinners and recommended not to play contact sports.

My friend’s daughter had undetected deep vein thrombosis and died at the young age of nineteen.

And that's the speculative nature of ultramodern. I guess Wemby can take a seat next to Zion Williamson.

Is it related to his height? Oh I see it's in his shoulder, not his legs, that's somewhat unusual.

I think it's premature to put him in the Zion Williamson category. If he comes back next year and it happens again, then I would say yes.

What happens if he only plays a limited number of games per season for the rest of his career ?

There's a long line of successful bigs who have had injury riddled or medically managed careers for one reason or another. Off the top of my head.

Joel Embiid
Ralph Sampson
Bill Walton
Yao Ming
Alonzo Mourning
Lamarcus Aldridge

Some more successful then others.

Sucks for now, but Wemby is still ridiculously young. He was well on his way to winning his 1st DPOY Award to.

As for the card guys. It's a concerning development. He doesn't just have future HOF'er baked into his prices. He's got multi-MVP's and at least a couple of Championship runs baked into his prices.
