Literally, nothing there to argue about. I stated that I was confused about the anger and basically asked, "What's the problem with mentioning a beanie here?"

See, any rational person (which would exclude you), might say, "JollyElm, much like Steven Tyler with his scarves, it is well-know that a yarmulke is sort of Probstein's trademark, and that's why there's blowback."

I would've said, "Okay, thanks for the info."

But you??? Of course not, it has to be an argument. You quoted me, typed your bullshit implying that I'm some sort of apologist, and now want to pretend I started it????????????? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You very well could be the funniest person alive.

Now you can stop and just move on and I'll do the same. Ball's in your court.
There's a transcript. I explained it, you misread the post and then responded with a bolded go fuck yourself. Obviously you started it. You apparently are still not understanding it. Why would anyone want you to apologize? That sentence was very, very obviously referring to Fuddjcal's spin - is it not obvious that only the person who made the antisemitic comment would be the one to sincerely apologize? Why would anyone refer to YOU having a "a non-apology plea of ignorance"? That makes no sense.

I don't know why you want to keep screeching about a thing you made up, but you do you . It's pretty funny, please keep going.

You know, it is possible to make the point that someone is behaving badly without going beyond that. Just take a breath and think...

I know some people live very sheltered lives and never leave the communities from which they grew up but for everyone’s education: unless you are referring to someone’s winter gear that is a very offensive and anti-semitic reference. I would advise anyone who finds his way to Borough Park, Brooklyn to avoid using that term.

You just keep getting more and more adorable. Of course you chose not to end this bull crap, because your entire existence is about arguing and bitching at people.

You, douchebag, quoted me and started spewing your crap. You weren't referring to anyone else, you quoted me. Just like how I quoted you here - TO RESPOND DIRECTLY TO YOU. No misreading involved at all.

Let me tell you something your mommy and daddy should've taught you. It doesn't matter how many times you repeat a dumb-ass lie, it's never going to make it true. You quoted me and came after me in post #43. It's right there for all to see. You're a laughable clown. Put your red nose on and head back to the circus. There's a whole crowd of new people there for you to start arguments with, toots.

I don't either but always prefer to stay out of the argument if possible. That said, everyone please quit with the F bombs. I know they are all around us on TikTok, FB and the like, but they don't have to be here.

I feel Chuck's apology was sincere. We should move on from that and get back to Probstein not checking his auctions. I met him at the last National as we were just walking by each other. We spoke for about 15 minutes and he seemed like a really nice guy, beanie and all LOL....(I am reformed and never wore a yamaka myself)

Yes it's right there in post 43. How on God's green earth would it make any sense to call your first post a "a non-apology plea of ignorance"? Another poster even told you you're reading it wrong.

If you'd like to keep insulting me and my parents instead, please go ahead and continue with your screed. May I recommend a bullet point format, it better breaks down the individual insults and it doesn't require you to abuse the bold as much.

You can bullshit all you want, on and on and on. I believe, save for the hilarious pie chart that describes perfectly who you are, each interaction in this thread has been the one person quoting the other person and then being nasty.

Your post #43 started it. It's hilarious that you can't accept that simple fact. You quoted me, so your implied crap about ignorance and spin and somehow being an apologist for someone I know nothing about, was targeted directly at me. You don't quote someone to NOT be referring to their words.

The good news is after a pretty miserable day, the Mets victory just rose my spirits, so even you can't change that as much as your sad self tries to.

The nastiness has been extremely one sided in the transcript, actually. I have gone nowhere near the insults you have written repeatedly over multiple days. Explaining to you how that what you think happened doesn't even make sense as you spew invective and insult at myself and my parentage is not being nasty. No one ever tried to ruin your day. I can see you are unable to deal with an actual transcript outside of your fantasy.

I really could write that the sky generally appears blue to the human eye and I will get nasty emails and posts from 1-5 people lol. It's pretty funny. I understand I have some ideas evidently unpopular about hobby institutions or legislation or the Constitution or that logic kind of matters in the world, and I will immediately just agree to any argument that I am a subhuman piece of filth, but these extremist meltdowns over made up fictional slights or when I express rather obvious opinions against really blatantly obvious antisemitism or against pulling guns on people over minor crimes have drifted into the point of absurdity.

Dude, I've completely tuned you out and no longer read any of your screeds. I just hit 'quote' so you know I'm talking to/about you. There is a simple solution here. Immediately add me to your 'Ignore' list and then have a site buddy or Leon or someone PM me to confirm that you did it. In turn, I will do the exact same thing to you, and POOF!!!! never the twain shall meet again. No more issues and I can return to enjoying Net54. You can't possibly have a problem with that solution.

Just reported this one to eBay. It's so blatantly not what it's represented to be, you do have to wonder how some of this gets by them at times. (I know how it gets by them; it just frustrates me...)

I would be surprised if I get any response other than them just leaving it up, but we'll see.

Zero feedback seller. Put their phone number in the item description. Report them for trying to take transactions off eBay.

I can almost hear the seller say “yo, bruh, why ya gotta be like that” as they adjust their backwards baseball cap.

Ha! That's exactly what one guy said when I told him I was returning his fake Ozzie Smith rookie.

I reported this obvious fake several days ago. eBay finally responded this morning:

“We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent.”

With the amount of volume he does, it's bound to happen from time to time. He's had quite a few counterfeits recently, though. I guess a scammer latched on to Probstein and is trying to use his business to pass off their fakes.

I can see a scenario in which Rick bans the scammer and then they try this with other auction houses.

*sigh*

More hobby fraud.

Be careful out there, folks.

That may be, but I can't name too many auction companies that would fall for these. Sometimes there may be such a thing as too big, if he can't hire people who know better. These were not subtle.

Again…

You’d think if you’re going to accept raw Ruth stuff you would have someone on staff who can be trusted to authenticate raw Ruth stuff.

"You would think" - but I've been saying this for years now. eBay has never cared to be category experts. It's apparently preferable to ship things in the card category off to other "experts", like PSA. But the rest of that crap is why it's still possible to go on eBay - where my established track record of the types of things I'm interested in should be fairly evident by now - and be hustled to buy $10K Fleer Jose Uribe error cards. Something seems redundantly wrong with that business model at this point, but clearly it works for them.

I was specifically talking about Probstein here...I've already completely given up on eBay being able to have staff that can identify counterfeit cards, they needed (and created) the Auth program to offload that responsibility.

But Probstein should have at least one guy that can be counted on to evaluate relatively spendy raw cards that come through.
