Several of the 1973 Topps football cards showed Steelers players at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, with backgrounds of the field and surrounding trees:

This 1953 Bowman card of Enos Slaughter comes to mind for both big sky and a sprinkling of trees (likely palm trees) in the distance.
