Yep, I certainly recognize some of those being real hard to find centered.
Crandall, Swift, Maxwell, Nippy, Chico and Rogovin.
I was unaware, or never really paid much attention to Erautt, Byerly, Goldsberry and Post, tbh, despite mine all being OC.

I honestly don't believe I've ever seen a perfectly centered Del Crandall card before? Most are OC or diamond cut it seems.

Thanks for posting those up, Sean.
Those are real nice.

Hello everyone!

Just now saw this post about 1952 Topps. My collection goes back to 1952, when I bought every 1952 Topps card I own. I was in an area where the 1st 2 series were the only cards we ever saw for sale, and for many yrs thought my set was complete at 250 cards.

Here are just 6 cards I had graded many yrs ago, & my collection is still all original to from 1-250!

Those are some great cards!
Odd, you were able to get the cards you did and not the others but that seems to be the case with other collectors from that era too.

I remember asking Tedz about the 1952 Topps Look N See cards and was surprised to read he had never seen a one during his early collecting days.

I guess it's impossible to stock every city around the globe with cards so they most likely just went by previous sales/popularity from other companies on top of their own and based that on who'd get cards to sell and who wouldn't?

Seeing cards this age that are still with the original owner is a special treat. Among other things, hey are especially vibrant. Thanks for sharing them.

THANKS for all the comments guys!

My opinion on who got Black Backs & who got Red Backs simply depended on the distributor to a given area at the time he ordered from Topps!

I pulled a couple of pages at random from my nr-set to show you the overall quality of the cards I bought over 70 yrs ago! These are just as they came from packs--none have ever been upgraded.
