I think the universal opinion is Silver label=Good. White Label=bad.

In the last year I"ve successfully crossed 8 out of 8 GAI packs to PSA.
I sent PSA 4 '70's test packs when they first started grading packs in Fall '06. I didn't like the holder, and crossed them to GAI which by then was using the white label. Those are certainly good as are many others in that label. There are bad packs in both holders, just like cards buy the card and not the holder. |

Appreciate all the insight. Anyone know what years the silver flip was used?
And when you do a pack crossover with PSA, do they perform the removal surgery?

If I remember correctly GAI was the only company grading packs for a while. I owned several over the years. All GAI. Never had a bad feeling about them but I never opened them either.

They were supposedly "legit" for a number of years, and then soured only with a change of ownership or something near the end of their run. I do not know whether pack grading being legit was the same as card grading - but I do know you see a lot of GAI graded packs still.
