I think it would be a toss up, Pete or Babe Ruth. Babe Ruth signed an insane amount of autographs. As far as I know, he didn't charge money to sign, either.

Musial was the first and Stargell was the 2nd signature on the ball. A very underrated hitter. Hit 475 HRs in the spacious Forbes Field. The added signatures kind of snowballed after that haha.

I would guess that Pele may hold the global title. He also was signing until he could barely hold a pen.
