Default 62 Canadian Post

The Bunning/Buzhardt sheet has special meaning for me. In 1962 when I was 6 years old I went to my first Detroit Tigers game. Tigers/White Sox. Starting pitchers: Jim Bunning and Johnny Buzhardt. Since I collect Post Cereal, I bought it to have as an example. Just luck for the 2 players on it.

Oh man, that's too cool! How long have you had the sheet and were you able to get it for a reasonable price?

Default 62 Canadian Sheet

I purchased the sheet from a gentleman in Toronto on ebay in 1998. I paid $20.00 dollars for it. He and I developed a great relationship and I was able to purchase a near complete 1963 Post Cereal Canadian Football Album from him along with 45 single 1962 Canadian football and 50 1963 Canadian Football singles. We also traded plastic football players that were in other cereals. He had a couple of duplicates from the Canadian side and I had some from the US side. I finished my 1963 Canadian football set. As for the 62 Canadian football I am down to the last 8 short prints. (Impossible to find and costly) He also got me interested in the Jello/Kraft Hockey sets from the late 80's/90's and I have full sets of those along with quite a few full Jello boxes. Since I grew up in Detroit, we got the Canadian station (Channel 9) So I got to watch Canadian Football and Hockey Night in Canada. It was great!

Cool! I acquired three 1962 Sugar Crisp Baseball panels and all five 1962 Sugar Crisp CFL panels at a small local show in London from a Sarnia area dealer in the early 1990's.

They were all still available at reasonable prices at the time.

We used to visit my uncle and his family in Detroit once or twice a year during my school years. The first NHL game I ever saw was at the Olympia on Xmas Eve in 1967(?). The final score was Toronto Maple Leafs 3 Detroit Red Wings 1.
