September Pickups

Been awhile since I added anything of significance to my game used collection. I think this is a rare one to come across!

Not really a pickup as I've probably this in my random tickets box for about 10 years, but it never dawned on me until tonight that this was Clemente's final game.

Wow, that Lombardi bat is amazing. I bet it weighs a ton. I also love that shot of Willard Brown — it's sad he never got another chance to play in the majors.

Here's an early 1950s New York Giants cap I recently acquired. It was the last vintage game cap I needed from the original 16 teams. You would think a St. Louis Browns cap would be the hardest to find, but I located two of them before finding a Giants cap.

That's an awesome cap and I love that collecting idea. Do you have pics of them together?

Re: Willard Brown. My hope is that over time his career gets more attention. He's obviously already in the Hall, so baseball has recognized his prodigious skill, but most fans have no clue.
