Reviving this thread because I bought a 1974 set over the weekend and noticed that two of the All Pro cards had different poses. I found the answer and now have to check my set and my inventory to see how many MB cards are in there. My questions for the group:

1. Can the MB cards that do not have pose variations be included in a 1974 "Topps" set or is the correct practice to not include them in a 1974 Topps set?

2. Is there a premium on the MB set?

3. Does it make financial sense for me to replace the MB cards in my regular set with regular cards and sell the MB cards separately?

4. Is the 1974 Topps set considered complete without the pose variations?

Or does no one care?

1. I include them in the master set and I think most others do, but nobody really counts them as needed for the base set.

2. The premium is small, they aren't that tough and not that many set builders seem to really care. I have got mine for ~.50 a pop pretty easily. The pose variations are a little more popular than the ones that are just an asterisk difference.

3. Probably only if they are really high grade.

4. Complete without for the basic, needed for a master.

They are pretty cool cards, but they don't seem to be very popular and enough of them were made that they aren't that valuable. People seem to care a lot less about these than the similar 67/68 Milton Bradley cards.
