No, it didn't come from Virginia, as far as I know. I picked it up at postcard show in Overland Park, KS about 6 weeks ago.

OK, thank you. There’s an antique store here in Virginia that had one similar to that that I have been looking at for a few weeks and all of a sudden the other day it was gone so I assumed someone had bought it.

Default No Big Leaguers, but great image

I love this one. American pastoral scene, early 1900s.
There are shadow figures of fans standing and sitting in the grove of trees down the LF line. (Cue the Ken Burns music/narration in the background here

The original is sharper but had to shrink the file down to upload. Enjoy.

Default Warren Giles (HOF) - 1918 Moline HS

Warren Giles (HOF) - 1918 Moline, Illinois High School basketball coach. He began coaching baseball the following year in Moline. Warren Giles was National League baseball's President for 18 years (1952-1969). He was elected to the Hall of Fame shortly after his death in 1979.
