Adam, thanks for providing this interesting info. I notice that of the examples of these cards posted thus far in this thread, the players are on different teams and the cards are of different colors, except for the 3 Washington Senators players in blue color that I showed. This leads me to wonder if a strip of 10 cards was produced for each team, with each team produced in a different color. If so, then there most likely was a Sam Rice card issued in blue, for which I would trade my first born for.

No, there were no team alignments as far as anyone knows. The strips were produced in one sequence (based on the boxing) and the 4 on 1 cards all have mixed subjects; I have never see a pure baseball one. Also, based on the boxing strip and the 4 on 1s I've seen, the duos do not vary: they follow the sequence of the strips.

I can say for certain that there was a rainbow; here are light blue and green boxing strips:

Odds are your four came from one strip, hence the single color.

Looks like you have a rainbow to keep chasing

Great info on these Adam. Thanks, as always, for your insight. All I know is, I want one.

This thread is so much fun! I've always had a huge soft spot for oddball cards and premiums, so the items you guys are posting are right in my wheelhouse. Let's see more!
