Obviously the higher res the slower the scan. I find 200dpi perfect for my scans of cards, raw and graded. IF I need higher res I do it, but 200dpi does it for me.

How much better do you need?

Leon, I have a problem with it scanning PSA cards good, and SGC cards not so good. Do you use the same setting no matter who the grader is?

I have the same scanner. I set it to 600 dpi, reflective photographic mode.

I went to an art supply store and purchased a "super black" piece of paper stock to use as a background. It makes both PSA and SGC cards look very nice and true to the actual appearance in hand.

Make sure your firmware is up to date, as well as the image capturing software.

I scan at 800 DPI and move the scans to an external HD for longterm storage (also a V600 user, btw).

800 DPI is overkill, but some cards (and their damage) is really neat to see when you zoom into an area. 200-400 DPI is good enough, and quicker if you're scanning dozens/hundreds of cards.

I resize to make a smaller "display size" image for local storage on my laptop personal computer...usually a height of 620 or 765 pixels.

This way I have a very high end scan for the future (especially for picky buyers) and a clean looking lower-end scan for general sharing of the card.

Yes, it is always set to 200dpi. Of course, if I want higher detail, I use a higher resolution but 200 is what I use for all of the cards in my site.
