Just curious. I see many listings that say "looks nicer". If that's the case, why wouldn't the seller resub to get a higher grade? Why ask a price close to the next higher grade and make the buyer risk it? Always wanted to know.

According to VCP, the avg. price for a PSA 3 is $12k. PSA 4 is $14k. I think my price is in line with PSA 3s and not the next higher grade. Secondly, grading is subjective and inconsistent. There are no guarantees. If you submit this card 10 times you’ll get some varying grades I’m sure. Third, there are varying condition and levels of cards within a specific grade. Some 3s look nicer and some 3s look worse. No two cards are exactly the same, hence the saying, buy the card and not the grade.

Not trying to be argumentative, but what's the point of grading then? For me personally, when I buy a card I go by the grade or until the grading companies add the following to the label: EX 5 But Looks Nicer.......PR 1 But Looks Under Graded.....etc

I agree it is a very nice image and corners are very solid. I think centering t/b kept it from being a higher grade.

Until grading becomes an exact science, I would highly recommend buying the card, and not buying solely the grade. Any seasoned collector will tell you the same. Just search ebay and look at different examples for the same grade. The differences are incredible with some. Some cards were graded 2 decades ago, some last week, which grade do you think is more accurate considering the advancement in technology. No offense, but the ones who are buying the grade and not the card are the ones in the hobby not investing wisely. To each their own though...
