Default Framing Tobacco Cards...

Alright...hoping someone can help. I've tried searching this site and using google, not finding anything. I've recently picked up a set of T42 Tobacco cards (same size as T206 for example)...all Piedmont backed. My first real foray into any type of pre-war set and it mixes my love for birds...and now I would like to frame these for my office. Surprised how inexpensive these were, and feel these are perfect for a nicely matted frame. Can't find anything! There are 50 in the set, would like 1 frame for all.

Anyone know of anywhere I can purchase a pre-matted frame for 50 tobacco cards? Again, found a couple of links doing a search here, all came up 404...

Thanks for any help...

I was thinking about doing something like this, and I figured I'd either have to consult with a frame shop or design something to be 3D printed. With the latter, you have to find a place that does bigger stuff, then figure out padding, front glass, etc.

I've always thought about repurposing frames like these for T206s but never really took the leap, they might work for you. Just search "framed tobacco cards" on ebay and a bunch come up.

Funny you mention repurposing...I have a couple saved in my Ebay and am considering that. Almost pulled the trigger on one until I realized it was a picture of reprints, and not matted upon closer review.

I had a group of T207 graded Cubs players that were displayed in their slabs that were custom framed at Michael’s. Looked really sharp.

Craig made a custom holder for me and I would 100% recommend him, great quality and a fair price. Plus it's always nice to support fellow members.

During the framing, I suggest you spend the extra money for glass that defeats uv sunlight's efforts toward getting to your cards in order to bleach out all color and fade those cards until they look blank. That glass may well be the most expensive aspect of your framing process, and the most protective aspect of defending the cards from the evils that await unprotected cars out there.
