There are two Bates Cincinnati. I sold an untrimmed one in Lew Lipset's auction in 2006. A friend of mine had a trimmed one he sold a few years later.

This one of F. Smith (Boston)...only one known. Perhaps this is the Smith card that Scott was thinking about.

While the F. Smith Boston is a one-off and nearly unobtainable, the Charlie Smith Boston is the one I was referring to. Only 12 PSA graded examples and no recorded sales on PSA. Ditto with the Bill Davidson I mentioned, 10 PSA examples and two sales records, 2008 and 2015(one of which I have).

Here is my Charlie Smith...they forgot to put his name/team on the card (and failed to print the back too!). At least some helpful individual wrote this info on the back.

Here is the link for the auction lot that is the source of the 65 different cards with similar attributes that are seen in the hobby, and which another Brian, the winner of this lot, eventually disbursed individually. I snagged my lone example, which happens to be Charlie.
