I am pretty sure she was talking about those wearing footwear. I believe folks stepping into it barefoot are not only unlucky, but plain just had it coming. It is especially unlucky if it ends up getting between the toes.

I suppose if the Venn diagram between the great unshod and the great unwashed were to overlap with this fact pattern, then it could become extra noxious in a hurry.

Using the word "ecosystem" to describe a company or its product offerings is, to me, one of the most pretentious forms of corp speak there is. Ugh. Now excuse me as I must return to reaching out to my teams and defining their workstreams and deliverables.
