The Oates button comes from a Virginia off season banquet in his honor

Thanks, Bill. I enjoyed Johnny Oates as a player and coach/manager.

Day 160 – 9 June 2024
Today I am showing you a photo of the Baltimore Orioles Team getting their photo take by none other than the manager, Earl Weaver. Weaver can be seen with a camera on a tripod with the players and coaches all smiling from year to year. Will assume this photo is the early 1970s. Brooks and Etch are both clapping. Belanger and McNally along with Boog are enjoying the photoshoot. Not sure I see Palmer. Pretty cool picture.

Looks like the set-up was for the team photo that appeared in the 1970 set...

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

If you look at Weaver Palmer is by this head (I think…)

Day 161 - 10 June 2024
Today I am showing you a small soft bound book with Brooks on the cover published by the Sporting News. The book has World Series Records from 1903 to 1970. Back on the 1960-1970 there were so many iconic publications and photos featuring the Orioles and Brooks. The Brooks photo here is pretty cool of Brooks with his flannel uniform and iconic glove getting ready to catch a pop up.

Today I am showing you a program from Day 161 – 10 June 2024
Today I am showing you a program from the 10th Annual Shrine of Immortals Night, July 16, 1969. This program was done between games with the Indians. They celebrated some of the greatest Oriole players. On the inside you can see photos and details of players from 1954 through 1968. Then, you see a photo and details of the latest inductee to the Shrine of Immortals – Babe Phelps. He played professionally from 1931 – 1942 with a career average of .310. The shrine is for Maryland Athletes. 10th Annual Shrine of Immortals Night, July 16, 196
