Default Strange and Funny

I had 2 very interesting purchases in the early days of ebay before you could put pictures of the items on display:

The first was for a lot of 1963 Post Cereal (as it was listed) The cards were only listed as a lot and contained 45 cards. I won the auction for 50 dollars. Turns out they were 1963 Jell-O cards including Billy Williams, Earl Battey, bob Rodgers and Tony Cloninger. The 41 others had minors and commons Ashburn, Ford, G. Thomas.

The second was for a lot of 1962 Post Cereal. It was a larger lot of 60 cards. Again before there were photos and the numbers were not listed. I won this one for 75 dollars. Turns out they were 62 Canadian Post Cereal baseball. The big cards were Maris and Mantle along with Minoso, Yaz. Drysdale.

Both lots were from an antique store in Maine. Year 1999.

I must say that I have all of Dan Mabey's books and I wouldn't trade them for anything!
