Day 49 - 19 February 2024
Does anyone else collect the Baltimore Orioles Hit and Run Club dishes? Today, I am showing the 7 inch saucer, 9 inch plate, 11.5 inch serving plate and tea cup. On the reverse side there is a stamp that says Homer Laughlin, Best China, USA, FD. Not exactly sure what year they were produced and when exactly they were used at Memorial Stadium. They make a wonderful display. They all look brand new. These plates appear every so often. The cup and serving platter are not as available as the two other plates. The cup is probably the hardest to find.

I have ONE plate. Really didn’t know there was others besides the normal size plate.

Default Plates and Watches

Scott and Mark, you are both funny most of the time. Appreciate the comments. Nice blue watch with original band. Would love to find the card.

The plates are really nice. Several sizes for sure. I wonder if there are other serving pieces.

Default Orioles Camden Club Plate

Day 50 – 20 February 2024
Today, I am sharing another plate from the Orioles. This one is from Camden Yards. This plate is 10 inches. On the reverse, it is marked with Duraline, Dudson, Super Vitrified, 4034, Made in England. I believe this plate was used at the Camden Club at OPACY. Surprisingly, these are not easily found but when they are, they are reasonably priced.

Day 51 – 21 February 2024
This plate commemorates the 1966 World Series. The plate measures 10 inches and had a gold ring around it. It shows the iconic game ending celebration when the Orioles won their first World Series. Brooks, Etch and McNally are featured. On the reverse side, the plate is marked with Conrad Chafters, Wheeling, W. Va. This plate makes an amazing display. I always wondered if there were other pieces and the details on how a person would get this plate.

Default Orioles ash trays

Day 52 – 22 February 2024
I am not much on tobacco products or smoking but back in the day, the Orioles had a few “ash trays” out there for their fans. The top middle one I believe is from 1954 and comes in multiple colors. It measures 4 inches. This one is the green version. It is glass with a beanbag type bottom. The two on either side are glass and measure 3 inches. The one on the left I believe is from the 1970s and the one on the right I imagine is from the 1950s. Below them are metal ones measuring 5.5 inches. They both have Baltimore Orioles at the top / bottom and in the middle of the tray, the one on the left says “Stick with the Birds.” The one on the right says “Bird Boosters.” Again, I do not like cigarettes but these are pretty cool.
