Back in the '50's, when I was a young "snapper",
I bought Topps & Bowman and threw away the wrapper. I kept the cards & the gum, the latter to chew, and the cards went into a box--I never "threw"! My teeth rotted away & today I have none, but I always enjoyed just chewing the gum! The cards I still had until recent days when I sent most out to auction @ REA's! I got a good price from "1-penny" cards, but letting them go remains very hard. The moral of the story: If you have a collection-- don't sell them off w/out thorough reflection!
