Default Brooks Robinson News American Sign

Day 38 – 7 February 2024
Today’s sign is from 1983 from News American celebrating Brooks Robinson. It was part of their newspaper vending machines advertising their Brooks special section feature (“A Salute to Brooks”) on Sunday July 31, 1983, which was the same day he entered the Hall of Fame with Juan Marichal, Walter Alston, and his friend, George Kell. The sign is mostly white with orange and a great picture of the greatest third baseman of all time. It measures 17 inches by 11 inches.

Default News American and Brooks

Hi, Scott. Not sure about the other Brooks small poster, but the latest post is News American. Can’t see anything on the Spirit of 66 poster indicating who made it.

Default 1969 Transogram Box Brooks Robinson

Day 39 – 8 February 2024
Thought to show a few of my PSA collection today with some raw vintage, too. I am working on two complete sets of the 1969 Transogram Boxes with cards and small panels. I am missing 4 boxes (Seaver, Swoboda, Callison and Allen). Looking for a small panel off the top of the head 1969 Transogram Box for the same players plus Banks and McCarver. In 1969, Transogram created a small box with a figurine in side. The boxes came in a very cool advertisement display, which I am looking for if anyone has one. The set includes 60 different players including Brooks Robinson. I am showing Brooks today in the box (several shown), a flat graded box, flat ungraded box, the graded card (highest graded), loose figurine and graded small panel picture. These make a very nice display and are hard to find in nice condition.

What are the odds that the only full box w/ figure I own is one that you need 🤣

Day 40 – 9 February 2024
Like yesterday, I am showing you some of my PSA collection. Today features Brooks Robinson in the 1969 Nabisco Team Flakes Cereal Box, which included 24 different players. There are 3 different 8 player panels. I collect the Nabisco Set in different formats. I have the 24 individual cards (2nd highest graded with PSA). I have 14 of the 21 different 2 player panels, and I have the 3 different 8 player panels. Shown today is the full panel with Brooks, the two player panel with Brooks and Fregosi, and the individual card (highest graded). The panels had a wide border and thin border, which you can see with the two different single cards in the picture.

I have one box with Brooks and it's in rough condition. I think a fellow collector could at least share ONE of the boxes... It's only right

Awesome collection! I'd like to see your set of Transogram boxes in one photo. I'm sure it would look nice.

Mark, can’t wait to finish the set. 4 to go. Will take a picture but missing 4.

Rhett teased me with the Callison above.

Default Brooks Robinson Avon Fielders Choice Baseball Glove Box

Day 41 – 10 February 2024
Today I am showing the 1971 Avon Fielder’s Choice Baseball Glove and Ball Bottle with Box. I was not familiar with this box until recently. Avon sold this item for your hair. I imagine it smelled wonderful. Brooks appears on the sides, which I have included in the pictures along with the front of the box and the actual bottle.

Default 1970 Action Cartridge- Brooks Robinson

Day 42 – 11 February 2024
Back to the PSA Master Set for Brooks. Here is a common item to many of our collections, the 1970 Action Cartridge. There were 12 cartridges produced with baseball players. The cartridges required a special device to view the film. I am showing you the complete box in its original packaging, a raw box showing the backside with the other player names, the instructions and cartridge. I am also showing you the highest PSA graded box and panel. These are easy to find and not expensive. Has anyone ever seen the film?
