Right on schedule, one more card has hit eBay. #232 Tino Martinez is now listed, complete in original hanger packaging. Oddly, the serial number field on the certificate is filled in as "AP". If that is supposed tobe a number, I cannot decipher it. So I guess AP/1000? Artist Proof?

That brings the total to 159.

After updating my blog and TCDB, I noticed these came in at least three different packaging styles, the white pinstriped hanger card, a blue/green hanger card, or small box. All varieties came with the wooden stand and a small slip of paper, I suppose acting as a certificate of authenticity containing the serial number.

---

Ah, make that two more, I missed a #83 Reggie Sanders that already sold. That makes 160.

I've started documenting the 1994 set, now, as well, since someone had added a few to TCDB. I've identified up to 33 cards, so far. I think it was the same deal as 1993, only fewer people new, or cared, about the 1994 offering. I would still like to find some sales or marketing material for these. I've got a few hobby publications from the time period, but the only adds I've ever found were for the Dream Team set or the Ryan set.

It's that time again! One more card has surfaced. Currently there is an auction on eBay with John Kruk, Tommy Greene, and welcoming to the stage, #555 Terry Mulholland! I think that makes #161.

---

Make that two more, there is also a Carlos Baerga listed. 162!

Yes, that would be Artist's Proof. There are some of the Mantles marked the same way.

Default 1999 Topps porcelain cards

Here's an interesting one from 1999 Topps, Travis Fryman. Looks like the borders aren't holding up too well.

Ah, 'tis a glorious day when not only can I add more cards to this checklist, but when the new bunch includes a card I want!

4 new cards for the list:

110 Barry Larkin
130 Dave Winfield (!)
430 Eddie Murray
503 Buck Rodgers / Tony Perez MGR

That brings the tally up to 165/825.

Naturally I clicked Buy It Now as quickly as I could. Rest assured, everything but the Winfield will be back on eBay after the first of the year, along with the Biggio I seem to be stuck with.

Take a look at the Topps 1968 Nolan Ryan Promo thread in the pre 1980 Post War section

If anyone has a Dale Murphy that they want to get rid of, I’d be interested. Thanks.

One more addition seen on eBay today:

618 Tony Pena

That's 166 / 825.
