I think you nailed it, someone must have removed the manufacturers mark. Good detective work.

Well done! I only paid $10 for it, so even it’s a 1990’s piece, I’m good with it. It’ll display nicely.

It's neat looking. From that first picture it looked old to me. But then again, I look old to me too!

The plate arrived today. Here is a photo of the front of it. I do believe in seeing it firsthand as well as the golf examples on eBay that this is probably a modern plate and is not vintage. I still hope to find an example online somewhere with the manufacturers info on the back as this one is completely blank on the rear side.
