There is a market for anything if you pump it enough. Look at the Kaline Band Aid card. Before all the pumping I bought a couple for under $10. Now look at the silly prices they are listed at and sometimes selling for.

Count me as one that spent a somewhat nutty price for Mr. Kaline bandaid head. A beater too, but I now have one.

Butch.

Ben north, I’m someone who’s obsessed with errors and populations of cards, if this mantle wasn’t so rare I’d only own a handful and would called it a day, like when I threw in the towel on the partial diamond there were just too many of them 30 on eBay at a time and new ones popping up everywhere yuck

I also want to thank you, I was about to spend $2000 on a 1958 blue hank Aaron years ago until I read everything you wrote about being faded I even bought a light and did some experimenting to warn other people…. I unfortunately lost 2 good cards friends over it because they had invested heavily in sun faded Aaron’s and didn’t want me warning other people, then it even came down to them saying well yes there are some that are faded but mine arnt faded and were printed like this in 1958 lol!!

I made a video on it https://youtu.be/GvSn3-2dRz0?si=y2-aevkMpcakks4z

I sold both of mine once they hit the $300 range. I thought they were cool but not 30X what I paid cool.
