It's basically the same show. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but Inside Pitch Promotions used to host about a half-dozen shows each year in the Kerr Scott building. I think they "sold" two of the shows to Tidewater Cards a couple years ago, and then "sold" two more of the shows to Oak City Sports Cards. Inside Pitch still advertises the shows, and I don't know exactly what the owner/promoter relationship is or how it works, but the shows are still going on with basically the same schedule as they have for the past 10+ years.

In the last couple years they've been trying a few different venues at the fairgrounds in addition to the Kerr Scott building. They've been in the Holshouser building, and there was even a show in Dorton Arena last month. This will be the first one in the Expo Center. Some of the shows are just sports cards; others are toys/pokemon/comics; some are a mix of both. This one is a mix, but supposedly 2/3 of the 300+ tables are going to be sports cards. It's always hit-or-miss with prewar and good vintage, but there was a lot of it at the December show, including a couple really impressive tables (that were unfortunately way overpriced).

Dan - Brickhouse at 11:30 sounds great...been a while since I've been there.....Look forward to meeting everyone....I've had the pleasure of meeting Dan and have communicated with Al quite a bit on pins, so hope you can make it Al to finally meet in person!

Looks like somewhat of a washout on Saturday, so it's a great day for a card show.....

Here's a link to the Promoter's website and Raleigh show if anyone is interested....

Hey guys! I plan on going to the show when they open on Saturday morning, but unfortunately I don't think I can make the lunch. If anyone else on here plans on being an early bird, let me know because I'd like to meet!

Great time! Pleasure meeting all of you! Lunch was great and the conversation and laughs were even better…..

As I was leaving, someone walked in looking to sell a ‘33 Goudey Gehrig PSA 9…..snagged it for $75…..wish you guys could have seen it!

:-)

Great day and I found a few things I wanted at the show. Much more of a blessing was meeting new friends and talking to fellow board members. Thanks again Dan for getting this going.
