Default I can't stop eating it...

Ice cream or seafood gumbo. I can almost make myself sick eating either one. A few months ago I had to stop buying ice cream. I can't control myself!

Easy for me. I always tell my wife if I could only eat one thing the rest of my life, it would be the Atlantic Blue Crab........Steamed or boiled with Old Bay Seasoning........Wel it New Years Eve. Time for our tradition of seafood dinner.

And my three dogs.......Oatmeal. I have oatmeal for breakfast 5-6 times a week and they go absolutely nuts for it. Whining and barking every morning. Sometimes I make them their own batch.

^^Never heard of that for dogs. Maybe i try that for my dog to see he likes it.

I cut down the last few yrs...a lot!!!
As some may know...i been to the Dr's frequently the past 2+ yrs.
They also put me on Mounjaro...mainly for blood sugar, but also lose weight.
As for side affects...the sulphur burps, nasuea, bloating and gas.
I cant over-eat or stuff myself....smaller meals and if i get cravings my go -to is a handful of walnuts during a game.

For the oatmeal I sweeten it with Agave instead of sugar. And add canned Carnation milk.

pawpaw - good luck with your health. I have my diabetes and weight issues myself so I know how difficult it can be,

Thanks,
Bob

That's my relationship with Doritos.

I'll eat a whole bag without even realizing it. Then I'll wake up several times in the middle of the night choking back acid reflux.

Just gotta walk by it when I see it on the grocery shelves.

HaHa, probably true.

....though when I say "acid reflux", it's when you wake up in the middle of the night, just before you're about to drown in your own stomach acid, and you have to go run over to the bathroom sink to try and get the burning sensation out of your throat, mouth and sinuses.

That said...the wife just sent me out for New Years Eve snacks...and of course I come back with wings, shrimp, cocktail sauce, crackers, stuff for a crab dip, potato chips, taco chips..........and a bag of Doritos.

Add me to the ice cream list. Just can't buy it because I will eat it all. It doesn't take much either because of Diabetes I rarely eat it. So a little will give me a gut ache and make me hit 300BG on my Libre3. Still too stupid not to eat it all though, gotta love blurry vision.

Hey Ben
Be careful bro I cheat sometimes too
But get bloated and nausea
I am suffering now from supper
Ate 3/4 of a burger with egg and that’s it
I can’t eat hardly any meats without affects
I visit my Dr in a few weeks to see what Damage
I done over holidays
Right now- the bladder cancer is not popping up
That good news
Thinking of joining gym this new year to rebuild strength

I only have a cheat meal/item once every month or two. Because i had a bad experience with meds am doing the best I can without any. So with the very strict diet pretty much anything out of the ordinary gives me stomach issues. I have been lucky and lost 44 pounds this year. Lost it semi quick at the beginning of the year and have been able to keep it off. With most of the extra weight off it also seems to be way easier to control my BG. I hit my weight goal. Turns out it wasn't near enough so hoping for another 20 this year. All my fat was in my abdomen area so now I look 4 months pregnant instead of looking like I was ready to have a kid.

Hope the bladder cancer stays away for you.

For me it depends on if it's good or not. Some stuff if it's done right I will eat as much as I can get. But done wrong, and a little bit is too much.

I used to be a big eater.
On the way to paintball we were looking for breakfast.
House with an enclosed porch, antlers on the outside wall and a plywood sign that said "food" .... And it was surrounded by pickup trucks, and not the suburban type.

Insisted we stop.
At the time I was maybe 190-200? And just under 6 feet.

Most places have varying size breakfasts. one egg, two egg, three egg...
there? also 4 egg, 5 egg and 6 egg.
And the "big breakfast", simply described as "some of everything"
That's the one for me!

Waitress had doubts. "are you sure honey? It's a lot of food."
Yeah, I'm sure..

The big guys at another table paid and ordered more coffee.... Just how big is this breakfast that I have apparently gotten an audience?

Literally a platter of everything. Like 6 french toast, 6 pancakes, 6 waffles. Three different sorts of toast. A medium platter of scrambled eggs, one of ham, one of bacon, one of sausage links another of sausage patties..... All of it really good.
Yes, ALL of it. Every last bite.

The silent thumbs up from the huge guy (Like 6'6" 300+) sitting nearby stands as one of the biggest compliments I've ever had.

Never found that place again. It was also so inexpensive I suspect they hijacked a truck full of food.

Did any of you guys have Beefsteak Charlie's in your neck of the woods?

If so, there is only one answer - peel and eat shrimp!!!!!!!!!

Beefsteak Charlies was GREAT!

First time we went there as a family, my younger sister was so excited about the shrimp.

Even as a young kid she had enjoyed shrimp many times as my mother would cook them up at home. Mom was always good at preparing food and would peel them as well.

So . . . my sister loads up with the shrimp and tops them off with the cocktail sauce. That was the night that she learned that shrimp have to be peeled! What a mess she made peeling the now sauced shrimp!

I just hate it when I see on the tub of ice cream and it reads 8-9 servings when they know full well that there is only one serving in there!

Fried scrapple , liver mush etc in mid Missouri we call it liver sausage 🙄
Unfortunately I can’t eat much of it because it gives me the gout .
Definitely an acquired taste , used to have a girlfriend that would have puke face the whole time she was frying it up “ how can you eat this ?”
Allopurinol do your thing

We would always take a trip to Pennsylvania Dutch country and get 5-lb tubs of scrapple from them. Good is poor descriptor for how it tasted, that stuff was freaking awesome. At least I can get scrapple in the stores out here. I like it crispy, with and without syrup. Yep, used syrup on it as a kid and still do now. Good stuff Maynard.

Never called it liver sausage though. That was something different in my neck of the woods (liverwurst - blecch).

The fella that made it in mid Missouri for decades passed away about 15 years ago - could not find any local so I started ordering from out of state and the best DID come from Pennsylvania ,
Recently the locals Have made a passable Replacement but it comes in round tube it should be in a square loaf

More best option. I was at an event last Friday, Saturday and Sunday that started at 8am and didn't end until after 6pm. Stayed at the Embassy Suites beside the venue. I didn't feel like waiting in the made to order omelet line. Stadium food is horrible and because of health issues I need to avoid it anyway. So I put a serious hurting on the buffet "scrambled" eggs and sausage patties. Had 3 heaping plates of eggs and easily 10 sausage patties every morning to get me through the day. Since most of the athletes also stayed there and ate at the same time I did. My food intake looked fairly normal compared to the 350lb+ monters(Pro Strongmen) sitting around me.
