Nice post that hits home doubly for this collector.

Just because no one else will talk about them, W9316 is one of my pet ugly cards I have collected. It is just fun to think that someone thought the artwork was fit to print. I have not seen an intact strip of 10 before...thanks. Here is the complete set and some color and squiggle background variations:

And the E241 Fleer cards (thanks Rhett, I had no idea either that this set has an ACC designation) always remind me of one of my hobby mess-ups. About 15 years ago I sent a group lot of W515 cards to an auction house, and the lot ended up selling for a modest amount. All fine and dandy...they are strip cards, and especially back then they did not bring in lots of money.

But sadly, after the auction, I realized that I had accidentally sent in my decent shape Carl Mays card with the Fleer back. You see, the auction house, like me, totally missed the fact that it was included in the lot, and no pictures of the backs were taken. The lucky winner got a nice surprise.

Fortunately a few years later I was able to obtain a Willie Kamm example, so for this type collector the sting is no longer so stingy. But I can't help remembering this every time these cards pop up.

Default W9316 connected panel

I own a w9316 connected panel. I've never seen another of these posted. Definitely a very unique piece of art!

Definitely a cool strip, and it is interesting to see that both of the squiggle pattern background card variations (Veach and Cadore) are on it, as well as the pale background variation cards like the Barnes and Johnston.

Thanks for sharing! I flipped it for easier viewing.

The drawing style has a certain similarity to King of the Hill.
