Default Found this memorabilia in the basement, worth selling?

Found it in my Dad’s old stuff. Not sure how he got it but it’s been sitting in the basement for 30 years.

Mickey Mantle signed photo.

Signatures of some Boston Red Sox players.

Signed cards from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Are they worth selling?

Try posting these in the autograph section https://net54baseball.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31 and you should get opinions on if the autographs are good. That would be a great starting point. If authentic they are worth selling.

They all look authentic to me, and yes, absolutely worth selling. That Red Sox sheet and the Mantle photo should have a good bit of value to them.

Sorta looks like that is the 49' Red Sox Roster. A couple I can't really recognize so maybe spring training.

edit - Yeah, looking more it's definitely 49'. Earle Combs and Paul Schreiber were on staff, so that's why they are there. Still no idea on the last sig or the vertical one, but the rest all match roster.

I'm new to this, what's the best way of going about valuing/authenticating/selling?

I would definitely pose that question to the autograph forum link above.

I don't know if it would be best to sell to someone who is comfortable in their knowledge to buy it ungraded or grade some of it. Honestly the general public for comfort are going to want authenticating to get a decent price, thus the sale to a knowing collector might be best.

As the Mantle is very personalized and water damaged, unless you find another Dr. David Eith, it's a hard sale. I have a feeling most buyers would cut the sig out. These are all things that affect values.

Ask those guys, as they have a way better grasp than I.

Looks like
Larry Woodall - last signature
Del Baker - vertical signature
Both former players that were coaches at that point

You should reach out to Al at Love of the Game Auctions. Those would be a perfect fit for his auctions. Great guy to talk to. He'll take all the time you need to explain exactly what you have and what it's worth.

This material is more Bricol quality (if they were still around) than LOTG.
