Unfortunately the best way to preserve the signatures would likely be to not display it haha.

That's no fun however - my best advice would be just to make sure you pick up a good quality case that's UV rated but most importantly keep it out of any directly light, especially sunlight. Light hitting a signature is typically the biggest cause of fading/distortion.

I have a rather expensive baseball I wanted to be able to display, so I went to a plastics fabricator and had them make up a holder for it with U/V acrylic and a sliding top. But it wasn't cheap. An alternative is to buy the standard acrylic baseball holders and spray them with a u/v blocking spray, sold at hobby and art stores. I use this on top-loaders that hold signed programs. But I still keep things out of direct (and even indirect sunlight).

Wow, crazy coincidence…. That is EXACTLY what I bought last night. In addition to the UV protection, it has a few different looks (I went with the green bottom and the mirrored back.

I didn’t pay up for the extra UV (“museum quality”) but just the usual UV protection.

My ball is nice but it’s not exactly rare - any worries about that? It will be far away from external sunlight, but will have normal room lights

Be aware of what kind of "normal room lights" you have...UV light is the damaging culprit. Primary sources of UV light are sunlight (both direct and indirect) and flourescent light bulbs (flourescent light tubes and those compact flourescent energy-efficient curly bulbs.)

On the other hand, LED bulbs do not emit UV light...so not only are they energy-efficient, but they are the safest light when it comes to the collection.
