Maybe '3 VG' stands for 3 very good corners?

Looks like this was the Collectable.com card valued at $8.83mm when partially re-purchased by the owner in 2021? Unless I'm missing something.

Dream card. I’ll go with a $4.3mm value, economy and rates being where they are.

That's a 2, or 1.5 all day...but in the end with it being such a rare and amazing card, it's somewhat irrelevant (at least to me).

I'll go $13.7M after the juice is applied.

I guess $14.5MM.

Leon, please start a Net54 Go Fund Me for fractional ownership!

I think this will surpass the $12.6MM 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle SGC 9.5 ‘Finest Example Known’. And in the not far distant future, 1 of the 3 PSA 10 1952 Topps Micks will hit the auction block for $30MM, to then surpass this Ruth Rookie.

I think it has a good chance of passing the 12.6 mark too! It could play out this way. Personally, I’d much rather have this card than all 3 psa10 Mantle copies combined, but I’m in the minority I guess lol. This card is the ultimate grail of grails. Should be interesting and should be good headlines for the hobby! These never come for sale, only 10 known copies!

My only question is if someone is willing to pay $10 million now why wouldn’t they have approached the Babe Ruth Museum when the card was available for a lot less. Amongst people in the know I doubt it was a mystery that the card was available.

Not when they are giving NM/MT cards 4s.

Default Nope

I don't agree, just based on my "days of yore" grading. In the way back when days, a card with multiple creases that broke the paper, would be a GD card. TPGs have made it even harsher than that, so I don't see how this could have ever received a 3 grade. As a raw kind of guy, it would be a raw 2 in my book. And I would expect at least one number less from a TPG.

I see this card as a 1.5, at best, by today's standards.
