JSA / He has been stating that for years. Why would you slab something when they're raking in ridiculous amounts of $$$$$$ with just a table at a show? They make so much money that all slabs would do is cause headache in their cash flow.

Because a LOT of potential business goes to PSA/DNA or Beckett that might well go to JSA due to the fact that many collectors prefer to have their prized autographs in nice display holders for protection so they send them to companies that holder them.

They did start grading autographs a few years ago to compete on that front with the others so it is reasonable to assume slabbing would be the next foray into increased business.

Who knows if it will ever actually happen but I am betting that it does someday in the not too distant future.

If they did start slabbing, then there is the decision as to how far they will go (or not go) in authenticating what is signed. If they just did "trading card" for cards, does that imply authenticity? Do they put "reprint card" if appropriate, but then have to take on the responsibility of knowing how to spot good fakes?

And then you have photos and whatever else, things where the ultimate value may depend on what is signed, as much as the authenticity of the signature. Does seem like a headache they probably don't want.

About 2 years ago they told me they own the equipment but it would be a few months away. The backlog of people with stickers wanting slabs would be unimaginable

Valid points and likely the reason it has never started.
