Great pickups, everyone. I've been waiting for this auction for a while, and here is the pickup that I was happiest about. I also won a few other strip or lower value cards that I thought were relatively reasonably priced. I kind of wish that they spread these Ruth cards out over multiple auctions since I just ran out of budget or I could have tried for a few others. Great auction, however.

Congrats Gary great card.
This is one I was watching also but with a budget had to prioritize. I am glad you got it and it will look great in your collection.

Congratulations

I'm not sure how many of these are out there, but it's not enough for me to wait around for the next one.

Thank you, Jeff, Ryan and Joe, and I’ll say this again: I don’t know if I’ve ever seen an auction with items as impressive as this one in all my years of collecting. It was really a historic opportunity to buy rare Ruth cards that may never come again in one place. Kudos to ML and Joe T.

Jeff - Spectacular pickups! Glad to see you landed some world-class Ruth’s. You might never see another Ruth Lections that looks as nice as this one.

If you're newer to the forum do yourself a favor and click on Jeff's Flickr link in his signature. His collection is world class and absolutely insane.

That 1929 Exhibit is very cool! I've never seen that before.

Nice pick ups all. Gary, congrats on a very cool card. Jeff, real nice pickups. I was your underbidder on the lections - you outbid me somewhere around 3:30am and I just didnt have the wake-up to keep going. I am glad you won it

Thanks. It was pure luck. I was asleep at 2 am but I have a cat now who tries to murder me every night. He woke me up at around 3:20 and got me bidding again.

Congrats on those pickups. I agree, there might not be more of those out there for many years, if ever, especially in those conditions.
That method of waking up in the middle of the night can be brutal. Most of us have been there and done that. (cat not withstanding)

yes I had a really late/early morning final bid at 3:03 am to get my bid for the win.
But it was worth it.

Congrats Gary. Great card, my favorite out of all the Ruths in the auction. Then again I am a sucker for die-cuts...

+1. I love scarce pre-War cards with neat advertising backs, and IMHO, the LG back is the neatest!
