Your friend needs to get and use a black light... those cards are reprints, on modern paper, the brighteners used in making the paper will fluoresce. Those cards will glow.

All of what was said above rings true. Also, there's the centering... they're reprints.

The buying and selling of such cards, when there's a suggestion that they're real, sours people new to the hobby, and potentially sours them to the point that they abandon the hobby. The prices on old cards go up as a function of an increase in the number of collectors and an increase in how much money those collectors have available for buying cards. The scammers hurt themselves in the long run.
